Cade Killingsworth named Hinds CC Assistant Baseball Coach
RAYMOND, Miss. (Hinds CC) — The Hinds Community College baseball program has announced that Cade Killingsworth has been hired as the new pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Eagles.
“Cade will be a big addition to our program, as he is very familiar with the league both as a coach and as a player,” head coach Dan Rives said. “He has done an excellent job with pitching development prior to coming here, and we look forward to him helping our current arms, and those in the future, take their next steps on the mound. Cade is also a very diligent, hard-working recruiter and will play a major role in our recruiting efforts.”
Killingsworth comes to Raymond after a highly successful three-year stint at Meridian Community College, where he helped lead the MCC Eagles to three regional appearances and coached 14 arms that moved on to the Division I level.
He also has extensive summer ball coaching experience as well, serving as the head coach of the St. Louis Prospects in the summer of 2022, as well as the pitching coach for the Bayou Blazers in the summer of 2021.
Along with spending time in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) as a coach at MCC, Killingsworth also played in the league in 2019 and 2020 at Jones College as a right-handed pitcher. The Summit native and North Pike High School graduate then went on to finish his playing career at Murray State University, where he made 10 appearances for the Racers in his final season in 2022.
Killingsworth, who will replace former Hinds pitching coach and recruiting coordinator Josh Clarke, has an associate of arts degree from Jones College, a bachelor’s degree in integrated studies from Murray State University and a master’s degree in sports management from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He and his wife Tristen were recently married on June 28.
