Cayden Wells elected Vicksburg High student body president
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Cayden Wells will serve as Vicksburg High School’s 2025-26 Student Body President after being elected to the position in May.
“I felt very excited because I didn’t think I would be elected, so it was a bit of a surprise, but overall I’m very happy for myself,” Wells said.
As president, Wells will work with classmates and administrators to bring new ideas to the school and help plan events that she hopes will have a positive impact on students. She will represent the entire student body as the highest-ranking elected student government officer.
At Vicksburg High, Wells is a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and Student Ambassadors. She also serves as president of the Key Club. After graduation, she plans to attend Tougaloo College, majoring in political science with an emphasis in African American studies on a pre-law track.
With the school year underway, Wells said she is settled into her new role and eager to hear from students.
“I’m a very open person and always looking for new ideas, and I’m very welcoming,” she said.
She is the daughter of Corey and Juan Wells.
