Doris Lynell Jackson, 1961-2023

Doris Lynell Jackson was born on September 7, 1961 and departed this earthly life on August 22, 2023, at Merit Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was surrounded by her husband, Steve, and her sisters, Patricia, Shirley, and Angie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Calvin-Williams; father, Dave Williams, Sr.; and her brother, Taylor Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Steve Karl Jackson; brothers, Dave Williams, Jr., Stanley Williams, and Gary Williams; sisters, Patricia Ann Blackshire, Shirley Williams, and Angela Williams; brother-in-law, Michael L. Smith; cousins, Emma and Percy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives including the Calvin, Cosey, Eastman, Myles, Derby, and Freeman families, and other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Doris Lynell Jackson on September 2, 2023, 11:00 AM at Greater Grove Street M. B. Church, 2715 Alcorn Dr, Vicksburg, MS .

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS on September 1, 2023 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with family present from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
