The Downtown Vicksburg Main Street program has announced the installation of a new ice machine and water dispenser near the river.
For $2.00, one can easily purchase a 10-pound bag of ice or a gallon of fresh, filtered water for only $0.35 and five gallons for $1.75. Ice will come prepackaged, however, one will need to provide their own containers in order to obtain water.
The dispenser is cash only and is located outside of the Vicksburg waterfront across the street from Catfish Row at the corners of Clay Street and Levee Street. This gives easy access to anyone needing ice or water who is coming off of a boat, for those needing to fill a cooler with ice at the playground for a picnic, or anyone who needs quick access to ice and water in the downtown river area.
