VICKSBURG, Miss. — Elizabeth Ann Whittington Gibson of Vicksburg, MS passed away from her earthly life into the arms of Jesus at 83 years of age on August 29, 2025, due to a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with the service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dale Yokum, Jerry Hardy, James Joyner, Bob Hollingsworth, Walter Breithaupt and Greg Gastrell. Honarary pallbearers will be Marshall Thomas, Franklin Hick and Vernon Martin.

Ann was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many years where she served the Lord with other believers. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years wanting only to glorify the Lord. She loved Jesus and desired to serve Him and others. She prayed daily for salvation and unity for her family and others. She worked in accounting for several businesses over the years. She volunteered at Merit Health for the Auxiliary for 18 years.

On May 25, 1973, Ann married her dear precious husband, her soul mate and her best friend, Everett, whom she loved with all her heart. They shared 52 years of marriage in love and faith.

She is survived by her husband Everett C. Gibson, Jr., son-in-law Andy Case (Shelley); grandchildren Drew Case (Dixie) of Senoia, GA, Rachel Case (Herman) of The Netherlands and Brandon Gibson (Megan); great-grandchildren Andrew, Aiden and Adeline Case; Lorlei Gibson, Andrew Clanton, and Lexi Guillot. She is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tollie and Mattie Whittington; her beloved children, daughter Tammy Gibson Case and son Tony L. Gibson. Ann was also preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.

She will be missed by all who knew her and leaves us with this message: Love the Lord with all your heart and serve Him daily.

Her favorite Bible verse was II Corinthians 12:9, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
