Elizabeth “Lizzy” Hope Nelson Adams

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Elizabeth “Lizzy” Hope Nelson Adams passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025. She was 31 years old. She was born on October 6, 1993, to Marvin and Hope Nelson. 

Elizabeth met the love of her life Scott when she was only 15 and he was 16.  This progressed into a wonderful, loving and fulfilled life that only got better when they welcomed their daughter, Adelaide, into their lives in 2019.

Elizabeth loved to spend time with her family, especially all of her “babies”. She was crazy about going to Disney, Taylor Swift and any and every animal known to man. She loved working at her church teaching children about Jesus, hunting with her grandfather and making memories with people she loved the most. Lizzy was a gift giver, it was definitely a love language of hers. She always paid attention to what people were drawn to most and loved to watch the joy in their eyes when they opened the gifts she had put so much thought and love into. Elizabeth was someone who always thought of others before herself, always smiling and someone’s listening ear.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Howard Allen Nelson.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Adams; daughter, Adelaide Hope Adams; parents, Marvin and Hope Nelson; sister, Olivia Leigh Nelson; paternal grandmother, Linda Clopton (Mike); maternal grandparents, Al and Karen Goodnight; mother-in-law, Taressia Adams; father-in-law, Robert Adams; nephews, Barrett Adams and Collin Adams; nieces, Mila Adams and Miller Masterson; cousins, Danny Nelson, Neely Nelson, Lily Goodnight and Willow Goodnight.

Funeral Services will be at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Triumph Church with Pastor Mike Fields officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
