Human leg discovered in a Mississippi Lake

An investigation is ongoing after a human leg was discovered inside a Rankin County Lake.

On Sunday, a group of kids were fishing at Primos Lake off Mangum Road when they spotted a human leg with a sock on it at around 7:15 p.m. Police arrived on the scene after the kids called 911 and the body part was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Reports indicate that the leg had been in the water for a while.More information is expected to be released.
