Mayor Thompson appointed to Board of Trustees of Merit Health Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Mayor Willis Thompson has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Merit Health Vicksburg, strengthening collaboration between city leadership and Vicksburg’s hospital.

“We are excited to welcome Mayor Thompson to the Merit Health River Region Board of Trustees,” said Nicholas Arledge, CEO. “His leadership, commitment to our community, and understanding of the needs of our region will be a tremendous asset. In this role, Mayor Thompson will provide strategic guidance and a community-focused perspective as the hospital continues its mission of delivering healthcare services to the citizens of Vicksburg and the surrounding region.
