Peyton Walker and Chance Pearson crowned VJHS Homecoming King and Queen

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Peyton Walker and Chance Pearson have been named the Homecoming King and Queen at Vicksburg Junior High School. A coronation for the pair was held Monday night, where the Club Queens, Royal Court, and the King and Queen Attendants were announced.

Walker succeeds 2024 King Geordon White. He is a student-athlete who was voted in by his peers.

“I appreciate all the love and I thank everyone who voted for me,” Walker said.

Walker plays football and basketball and serves as eighth grade student council president. He is the son of Michael and Tiffany Walker.

Pearson follows 2024 Queen Madisyn Kimble. She is a cheerleader and active student-athlete.

“I feel like I actually won something and it’s a great accomplishment,” Pearson said. “I want to thank everyone for voting for me and I love y’all.”

Pearson is also a member of the Girl’s Club. She said she hopes to be a positive influence after being crowned. She is the daughter of Cre’Tarsha Taylor and Joshua Pearson.
