Reeves announces money for Vicksburg roads

VICKSBURG, Miss., (VDN)- According to a social media post made by Vicksburg Mayor Willis Thompson, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced Warren County will receive funds for roads.

The funding will be in the amount of $2,920,698 for the design and construction of an access road to the new Mississippi River Inland Port Complex Megasite on Highway 61 South.
Mayor Willis Thompson said the news was big for Vicksburg residents.

“This is huge news for Vicksburg and a clear sign that Mississippi’s leadership has confidence in the direction we’re now heading in Vicksburg. More to come,” said Thompson.
