Rose of Clay, Lorelei Books partner to host Melody Golding book signing

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Rose of Clay and Lorelei Books are teaming up to host a book signing with Mississippi author Melody Golding as part of the kickoff to the Mississippi Book Festival.

The free, public event will take place Thursday, September 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 717 Clay St., on the second floor of John Houston’s Good Wine and Fine Spirits.

Golding will be signing copies of her new book, Hometown Mississippi. Guests are invited to meet the author and celebrate the state’s literary tradition.

Hometown Mississippi offers an intimate look at 30 towns across the state through the work of author, photographer and artist Melody Golding. The collection, captured in the summer of 2024, blends photography and personal narrative to create a contemporary portrait of Mississippi. Golding’s journey spans from the northern hills to the Gulf Coast, through the Piney Woods, river towns and the Mississippi Delta, highlighting small communities along back roads and highways that once served as the state’s main thoroughfares.
