Taryn Lusby Crowned 2025 St. Aloysius Homecoming Queen

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Taryn Lusby was crowned the 2025 Homecoming Queen at St. Aloysius High School during halftime of Friday night’s football game against Amite School Center.

Lusby said she was stunned when her name was announced.

“It was totally insane because that was the last thing I was expecting, but I’m so grateful,” she said. “I was shaking so bad, but I’m completely happy about this.”

A standout student-athlete, Lusby is involved in soccer, basketball, cheerleading, Diamond Girls, Key Club, Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society. She has also been named to the Vicksburg Daily News All-County Team in both basketball and soccer.

Lusby was crowned by 2024 Homecoming Queen Ryan Hadley Grey in front of a packed home crowd. She was escorted by her father, Jimbo Lusby.

Lusby, the daughter of Jimbo and Jennifer Lusby, plans to attend the University of Mississippi after graduation.
