VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren County Board of Supervisors on Monday recognized Officer Edmond Gibbs for 20 years of dedicated service to the county.

“Twenty years goes fast, doesn’t it?” said Board President Dr. Kelle Barfield during the presentation.

Gibbs began his career with the county in July 2005 as a sheriff’s deputy. He later transferred to the county barn before moving into the Emergency Management Agency, where he rose to the role of code enforcement officer.

Throughout his two decades of service, Gibbs was praised for his professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to public service.

“Edmond is known for his unwavering integrity, attention to detail, and his willingness to go above and beyond to serve the citizens of Warren County with care, efficiency, and respect,” said Barfield, reading from the official resolution.

The board adopted a formal proclamation in recognition of Gibbs’ service, which will be entered into the official minutes.

“I quite often hear from people who say Edmond casually stopped by and said, ‘Hey, what is this you’re doing here? Do you have a permit for that?’ While he’s very diligent, he’s also respectful,” added Barfield. “The goal of doing things right and doing things well is always very clear in the way he conducts his business.”
