The Strand to show Ferrari May 23

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg’s The Strand Theatre will have a showing of Ferrari Saturday, May 23 beginning at 7 p.m.

The movie is being sponsored by Parker Hall. Michael Mann’s Ferrari is set in 1957. It is the biographical drama following the chaotic life of Enzo Ferrari.

With the glory days far behind him, Ferrari struggles to accept the life he now leads as a former Formula 1 race car driver. With a tumultuous marriage and an unstable family, Ferrari faces bankruptcy as his company collapses into a state of crisis. Determined to recreate his fate, he seeks refuge on the racetrack. He decides to send his drivers to the Mille Miglia, a 1,000-mile race across Italy.

Tickets are $9 in advance at Highway 61 Coffeehouse and $10 at the door. And, of course, the popcorn is free. The Strand is located at 717 Clay Street in downtown Vicksburg.
