Chamber continues growth with three new members

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Chamber of Commerce welcomed three new businesses to the partnership of growth this week.

On Monday, the chamber announced the Knights of Columbus – Vicksburg Council 898/Assembly 558, had joined the group. The Knights are a dedicated group of community leaders who actively support Vicksburg through prayer, fellowship, and service — from weekly rosary gatherings to family-friendly fish fries and youth initiatives.

Most recently, the Knights collected 1,600 pounds of canned goods and $1,730 in donations to help local families in need, and they’re not slowing down. They are already gearing up for another canned food drive at the Vicksburg Christmas Parade. 

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the chamber released addition of the Conservatory of Fine Arts to the group. Located at 930 South Street, the conservatory provides music lessons, art classes, ensembles, and workshops for youth through adults across the Vicksburg-Warren area the in honor of Dorothy Kenna Brasfield.  Scholarships are available, so anyone with a desire to learn and create can participate. No prior experience is required.

The Chamber also announced KIWI’s Travel had join this week. Kirsten at KIWI’s Travel can craft a unique trip that fits any budget and vibe whether its a girls’ trip, family getaway, or couples’ adventure.
