Dr. Woodrow Price promoted to Assistant Principal at WCI

Warren Central Intermediate School proudly announces the promotion of Dr. Woodrow Price to the esteemed position of Assistant Principal. Dr. Price’s journey with Warren Central began in 2018 when he joined as a 5th-grade Math and Science teacher. His exemplary dedication and leadership skills quickly earned him the role of Lead Teacher in 2020.

With an impressive 18-year career in K-6 education, Dr. Price brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role. His early teaching years were spent nurturing young minds in the 1st and 2nd grades at Sherman Avenue School District and a tenure at A.W. Watson Elementary School as a 5th-grade teacher.

Dr. Price’s academic achievements are equally commendable. He is a 2021 graduate of William Carey University, where he earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership. This follows his specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College in 2012, and both a Master’s (2009) and a Bachelor’s degree (2007) in Elementary Education from Alcorn State University.

Recognized for his outstanding teaching abilities, Dr. Price has been honored as Teacher of the Year on three separate occasions, including at Warren Central Intermediate, and was named District Teacher of the Year for the Claiborne County School District. His resilience and dedication are particularly inspiring, given his personal academic challenges in grades 4 through 7, which have only fueled his commitment to education and student success.

Dr. Price’s established rapport with faculty, staff, students, and the wider community positions him as a pivotal figure in continuing to advance the vision and mission set forth by Principal Dr. Tonya Magee and Warren Central Intermediate School.

As the new school year approaches, Dr. Price is eager to embark on this new chapter, bringing his passion for education and leadership to support and uplift the Warren Central Intermediate School community.
