Free paper shredding event, sponsored by Julie Patton Johnson

Vicksburg, Miss. (VDN) — Local residents can safely dispose of unwanted documents at a free paper shredding event on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at 112 Monument Place.

The free paper shredding event is sponsored by Julie Patton Johnson of Keller Williams and will take place in partnership with Magnolia Shredding, which will handle on-site disposal.

Organizers encourage the community to bring sensitive paperwork, such as old bills, bank statements or tax documents, to be securely shredded and recycled.

The event aims to help protect against identity theft while offering a convenient way to declutter.
