Hinds CC names recipients of the Pickett Family Endowment Scholarships

RAYMOND, Miss. (VDN) —The Hinds Community College Foundation recognized 2025-2026 Pickett Family Endowment Scholarship Recipients, donors and other honorees at a reception on Sept. 19 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus.

Among those being recognized were Morgan Neely of Byhalia, third from left, Jumiracle Williams of Jackson, Kiersten Levy of Madison, Jordan Taylor of Jackson, Zachariah Bell of Brandon, all of whom received the Dr. Nell Ann Pickett Endowed Scholarship; Lane Rowland of Madison, who received the Nancy and Toby Tenhet Endowed Scholarship; Jalia McDonald, who received the Marian Pickett Carmichael Endowed Scholarship; back from left, William Cochran of Flowood, Ashton Causey of Terry, Morgan Barlow of Brandon, Khamori Ratliff of Byram, Gertrude McCarthy of Brandon, Areiona Poindexter of Jackson, Amory Grzanich of Raymond, Mackenzie Smith of Hattiesburg, all of whom received the Dr. Nell Ann Pickett Endowed Scholarship; Conner Robinson of Pisgah, who received the F.N. & Eva Pickett Endowed Scholarship and Bethany Granberry of Terry, who received the Jimmy L. and Grace Pickett Long Endowed Scholarship. The Hinds Community College Foundation will award more than 800 scholarships during the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to apply for a scholarship for fall 2025 (academic year 2025-2026), is Feb. 15, 2026. For more information, visit www.hindscc.edu.
