I-20 West traffic being diverted at Bolton due to crash

BOLTON, MS – A crash on I-20 West near the 20 mile marker has traffic backed up. Traffic is being diverted off the highway onto the I-20 Frontage.

Two eighteen wheelers, including one that is causing a hazmat leak, and a passenger vehicle are involved.

In a release, MHP said:

An investigation is underway by the Mississippi Highway Patrol regarding a collision between two 18-wheelers and a vehicle on I-20 westbound near Bolton in Hinds County. Both 18-wheeler drivers were fortunate to sustain no injuries. The vehicle’s driver also remained uninjured, while the passenger received medical attention at UMMC for undisclosed injuries. The westbound lanes are currently closed; drivers are advised to utilize alternative routes to support timely emergency response.
