Kenneth Matthew “Matt” Miller passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was 49 years old.
He was born in Jackson, MS on November 12, 1973. He was born to Kenneth K Miller and the late Nancy Miller. Matt was a lifelong resident of Redwood MS. He attended Redwood Elementary School and Warren Central High School.
Matt was a self-employed tree cutter and heavy equipment operator. He loved working with his hands, but he loved his family and helping others most of all. He is probably cutting a tree down right now to keep it from falling on someone’s house or building a dam to keep a house from being flooded. This was Matt Miller. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Nancy Gail Miller, Grandparents Dallas and Erma Miller, J.D. and Kathryn Chamblis. He is survived by his son Jackson Miller, daughters Abbie Miller, and Kenley Miller, step- daughter Hannah Miller Masterson (Jonah) and step-son Cole Trim (Kaylee), grandsons Sawyer Miller and Samual Matthew Miller, father Kenneth K. Miller, step-mother Bernadette Miller, sisters Denise Clark (J.W.) and Melanie Gilbert (Jeff), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Hearn, Dallas Hearn, Chance Curtis, Johnnie Dale Grimshel, Gus Grimshel, Danny Hearn, Jimmy Newman, Dax Freeman, Andy Hambright, Joey Cooper, Drew Beard and his health care workers Christy Morgan and Jeanine Hearn at St Jospeh Hospice Care.
In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society.
