VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Kevin Loren Hunter, 21, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away on March 15, 2026. Born on February 2, 2005, Kevin was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, where he was known for his bright spirit and kind heart.

Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles K. Hunter Sr. and Betty Thomas Hunter; his uncle, Brian Keith Hunter; his cousins, Austin Hunter and Brandon Hunter; his maternal grandfather, Don Kenyon; his uncle, Hank Blackledge; and his aunts, Pauline Butler and Sena Blackledge.

He is lovingly survived by his father, Kelly Hunter (Sandra); his mother, Senoa Blackledge; his siblings, Brynne Hunter, Brian Hunter (Brandy), Eric Hunter, Justin Hunter, James Bowles (Haili), Joseph Bowles (Hannah), and Jacob Bowles; his uncle, Terry Hunter (Margie); his aunts, Amanda Brown (Ricky), Lori Manues, and Clara Acuff (James); his maternal grandmother, Donna Kenyon; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Kevin was a loving, outgoing young man who truly never met a stranger. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and his smile could light up any room. Full of joy and positivity, Kevin left a lasting impact on everyone he met and formed countless friendships throughout his life.

As a child, Kevin loved going “picking” at yard sales and pawn shops, always searching for hidden treasures. One of his sweetest childhood memories was his beloved stuffed animal, “Fluke Dog,” whom Kevin made sure celebrated multiple birthdays each year. Those who knew Kevin will always remember his playful spirit and the happiness he brought to others.

As he grew older, Kevin pursued his goals and joined the pipeline in Texas as a member of the 798 Union, where he continued to build strong friendships and connections along his journey.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue, Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Monday, March 23. Visitation will take place from 11 am until the hour of service, with burial following at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Hunter, Eric Hunter,
Justin Hunter, James Bowles, Joseph Bowles, and Jorge Carmona. Honorary pallbearers will be Brynne Hunter, Jacob Bowles, Daniel Manues, Logan Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Terry Hunter Jr., and Gavin Pugh

Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his light, laughter, and love will live on in their hearts forever.
