Lauren “Les” Delesse McNeil Jensen 1983-2026

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Lauren “Les” Delesse McNeil Jensen, 42, entered into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Born April 29, 1983, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and known to all as “Les,” she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend whose life was woven with love, laughter, and a tender heart for those around her. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory.

She was the beloved daughter of Jerry “Bubba” McNeil and the late Laurie Bufkin McNeil Shepherd, and was deeply loved by her stepfather, Al Shepherd, her stepmother, Melanie McNeil, and her parents-in-law, Dennis and Laura Jensen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, JD and Maudie Nell McNeil; Marvin Harold and Estelle Bufkin; and William and Joanna Steen, whose legacies of faith and family helped shape her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Justin Jensen; her three precious children, Jaxon, Alexis, and Saylor Jensen; her brothers-in-law, Josh Jensen (Ashley) and Jeremy Jensen (Ashley); her sisters-in-law, Desarae Jensen and Chelsea Jensen; along with nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and spirit.

Though words cannot fully carry the weight of this loss, the family finds comfort in God’s mercy and in the promise that His love and grace extend into the deepest valleys. They ask for continued prayers and compassion as they walk through this season of grief, trusting that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to carry them through. May the Lord grant her eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Service arrangements are Friday, February 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 833 West 6th Street, Laurel, MS 39443, visitation from 3:00-4:00 with service to follow at 4:00.
