One dead in Warren County crash on Highway 3

WARREN County, Miss.(VDN)—A Yazoo County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Highway 3, just north of Redwood.

Warren County Sheriff’s deputies were the first to respond to the scene around 1:45 a.m. The Mississippi Highway Patrol later arrived and is now leading the investigation.

Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey identified the victim as Robert Mitchell Saxton II of Yazoo County. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Few details about the cause of the crash have been released, but authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
