One shot in drive by on Washington Street

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One person was injured in a drive-by shooting on Washington Street on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Captain Curtis Judge with the Vicksburg Police Department, a male was injured in a drive-by shooting in the 2900 block of Washington Street at around 2 p.m., Tuesday.

The man was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition, according to Captain Judge.

This shooting and the one last night were targeted attacks.

The VPD is early in the investigation, and the Vicksburg Daily News will update this story as more information becomes available.
