One shot multiple times Monday evening on Grammar Street

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One man was shot multiple times Monday evening on Grammar Street in Vicksburg.

At a little after 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, several callers reported shots in the area of Grammar Street near Martha Street in Vicksburg. One person, a male, was struck several times, and he is being transported to a Jackson area hospital by FireMedic 40.

According to eyewitness reports, there was a large Vicksburg Police Department response, and the scene was taped off to secure the area. Vicksburg Police Captain Curtis Judge was at the scene, and an investigation is underway.
