Ryan Henry Raney 1947-2026

• VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ryan Henry Raney passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was 79 years old. He was born in Los Angeles, California on January 17, 1947, to James and Beverly Raney. He loved hunting, fishing and watching dirt track racing. He enjoyed doing anything that was outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Raney; parents, James and Beverly Raney; siblings, Jimmy Raney, Sammy Raney and Mary Stephens. 

He is survived by his sons, Ryan Raney (Chrissy) and Chris Raney; stepchildren, Terry Carnes and Bobby Kowen; brother, Dennis Raney (Rita); sisters, Terry Stevenson, Barbara Bowie and Tammy Foster (Mark); grandchildren, Billy Hedrick, Tristan Hedrick, Christopher Raney, Destiny Raney, Amber Carnes and Stephanie Dauzat; great-grandchildren, Hunter Hedrick, Jasmine Dauzat, Travis Dauzat, Tony Rayne Carnes, Lissa Ann Jayne Carnes and Scarlett Hedrick; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Roy Landrum, Christopher Raney, Joseph Stubbs, Billy Hedrick, Tristan Hedrick, Jim Voelker, Lee Kennedy and Colby Ashley. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Raney, Ryan Raney and Destiny Raney.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joe Johnson officiating the service. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
