Sabrina Marie Trusty

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Sabrina Marie Trusty was born in Rolling Fork, MS on August 14, 1967, the daughter of Owen Reynolds and Martha Miles Reynolds. 

Sabrina departed this life on 01/23/2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and remarkable resilience. For nearly five years, she faced stage 4 kidney cancer that had spread throughout her body with a spirit that refused to be dimmed. She fought this battle full force, up until her very last breath. Sabrina found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she considered her light in such a dark world. She was a devoted wife that loved her husband. He was her rock. A lifelong hard worker, she discovered a new passion for crafting at home during her illness, finding peace and purpose in making beautiful things for those she loved. Her ability to smile and push through all her struggles remains a beacon of hope for all who were part of her life. May she now rest easy and be at peace with the rest of our guardian angels.

She is survived by her husband Gary Trusty, sons James Smith and Joshua Sanderson; daughters Lindsay Hendon (Jason), Courtney Atchley (James) and Brandi Reynolds (Adrian); brother Frankie Reynolds; sister Rebecca Gullette (Jacob Yeates); grandchildren Jordan (Jennifer), Tanner, Dalton, Katie, Hanah, Janieraye, Brennon, Paislee, Issabella, Madelyn, Bayliegh, Peyton, James, Jr., Sabrina and Nataleigh and great-grandchild Mikey.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, Mound Cemetery, officiated by Lisa Kapp.

Pallbearers will be Jason Hendon, James Atchley, Jordan Reynolds, Tanner Reynolds, Dalton Husain and Adrian Overton. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Reynolds, Jacob Yeates and James Smith.
