SCHF presents a “Soda Shop Sock Hop”

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation will host a “Soda Shop Sock Hop” on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Southern Cultural Heritage Center auditorium.

The event will feature 1950s-inspired music, dancing, refreshments, and retro-themed fun. A dance tutorial is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the Sock Hop from 7 to 9 p.m. A dance-off will take place at 8 p.m., with winners announced before the close of the evening.

Executive Director Stacey Mahoney said the night is designed to be a fun, nostalgic community gathering with something for everyone, from line dance favorites to classic jukebox hits.

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at the door or in advance through Eventbrite. Light refreshments, a cash bar, and a concession stand will be available.
