School board recognizes swimmers

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Warren School District honored Warren Central High School’s swim team at its regular board meeting held Thursday, Oct. 30.

Warren Central High School’s swim team made history earlier this month on Saturday, Oct.18 at the MHSAA Class II State Championship in Tupelo, winning both the boys’ and girls’ championship.

The board invited the team to the central office in order to be recognized in front of the board, family and friends. Head coach Terry Wong was also applauded by the board. The team received a standing ovation from all board members, Bryan Pratt, Alonzo Stevens, Board President James Stirgus, Linda Patterson, Joe Loviza and Superintendent Dr. Tori Holloway.
