Shooting suspect arrested in Claiborne County

Claiborne County, MS – On November 14, 2023, at approximately 11:43 p., local law enforcement responded to a shooting incident at a home near 61 South. Preliminary investigations revealed that multiple shots were fired into the victim’s residence, resulting in the injury of one female.

The suspect Shelvionte Farmer turned himself in earlier today and was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling. His initial appearance is scheduled for November 19, 2023 ,at 10:00 a.m.

This is an ongoing investigation and more arrests could be made.
