VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ty’Tianna Edwards has been named Warren Central Junior High School’s Homecoming Queen after being selected by the student body.

Edwards learned of her selection during a school pep rally. “I was excited and I started crying,” she said.

As Homecoming Queen, Edwards said she plans to represent WCJHS at football games and set a positive example for her classmates and school staff.

She was officially crowned during the football game against Pearl on Tuesday night, where she thanked her supporters. “Thank you guys for voting for me as the Homecoming Queen,” she said.

Edwards is the daughter of Tevin Edwards and Elexis Ingram.
