Howard “Steve” Williams appointed as Interim Public Works Director

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen called a special meeting Wednesday, Jan. 7 to appoint an Interim Public Works Director.

Vicksburg Mayor Willis Thompson moved to appoint Howard “Steve” Williams as the Interim Public Works Director. Both Ward 1 Alderman Thomas “TJ” Mayfield and Ward 2 Alderwoman Vickie Bailey voted “yes” for Williams’ appointment.

Williams replaces former Director Dana Lovell.

Mayor Thompson read the oath of office for Williams’ appointment.
