Severe weather possible tonight
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — According to the National Weather Service based out of Jackson, Miss., Warren County is slated to expect severe weather beginning tonight.
According to the latest models, severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and a tornado or two remain possible areawide Friday afternoon. While cloud coverage is already in the area, isolated strong to severe storms will roll through the area between Friday’s predawn hours of 3 a.m. – 4 a.m. and last into the afternoon hours.
Areas south of the Natchez Trace corridor are expect to have more scattered severe storm coverage areawide Friday afternoon and persisting into Friday night.
