Paris Morris, a 7-year-old second grader at Vicksburg Catholic School, has been identified as the child who tragically lost her life in a UTV accident Saturday in Warren County.

The accident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Bovina Cut Off. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after receiving a report of a UTV accident on private property. Deputy Coroner Kelda Bailess identified the child.

On Sunday, Vicksburg Catholic School announced Paris’ passing in a heartfelt message, asking the community to keep her family, friends and classmates in their prayers.

“It is with great sadness that we ask you to join us in lifting up the family, friends, teachers, and classmates of Paris Morris, a precious second grade student at Vicksburg Catholic School, as we mourn her heartbreaking passing,” the post read.

“May God’s infinite mercy, peace, and love surround all who knew and loved Paris, bringing comfort and strength in the difficult days ahead. May His everlasting light shine upon her, and may she rest in eternal peace.”

Paris was known as a bubbly, happy young girl who brought joy to everyone around her. A second grader in Mrs. Tidwell’s class, she had a personality that could brighten the lives of those who knew her.

Outside the classroom, Paris enjoyed playing soccer and taking ballet lessons at River Point. She was also a member of Traveler’s Rest.

One of her favorite activities was jumping rope, something she was especially talented at and loved doing.

More than anything, Paris loved her family, including her brother, Chase, and sister, London. She was the daughter of Nicholas Jones and Jessica Morris.

Although her life was cut tragically short, Paris will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her bright personality and the special way she made those around her feel loved.

As Vicksburg Catholic School and the Warren County community mourn the loss of a young life filled with so much promise, the community is asked to continue lifting Paris’ parents, siblings, classmates, teachers and loved ones in prayer.

Please keep the family of Paris Morris in your thoughts and prayers as they face an unimaginable loss. May they find comfort, peace and strength in the difficult days ahead, and may the memory of Paris’ beautiful spirit continue to shine in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
