Vicksburg Native Ryan Nelson Inducted Into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at ECCC

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native Ryan Nelson was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at East Central Community College on Monday during a ceremony at Huff Auditorium. Nelson was among 69 students recognized for their academic achievements.
To qualify for induction into Phi Theta Kappa, Nelson and the other honorees were required to maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
Nelson is also a student-athlete at ECCC, where he plays baseball. He finished his freshman season with 59 hits, 35 RBIs, six home runs and 59 runs scored.
