Vicksburg swears in new Deputy Fire Chief

During the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Friday, Jessica Cade was sworn in as Vicksburg’s newest Deputy Fire Chief.

Cade was recommended for the position during the Sep. 6 Board meeting. Cade brings 7 years of experience with the fire department and a focus on Paramedic Care with her.

“I was so impressed with this young lady and her vision for the City of Vicksburg and the fire department,” said Mayor Flaggs.

Cade worked as a paramedic on the ambulance, “providing emergency medical care to patients in the City of Vicksburg, as well as Warren County. Ms. Cade was also responsible for training EMT and Paramedic students during orientation,” said Mayor Flaggs in an earlier press release. “I make this recommendation with confidence that Ms. Cade will be a tremendous asset to the Vicksburg Fire Department as it relates to present and future goals. Ms. Cade received “Firefighter of the Year” in 2019 – an award presented by the Vicksburg Homecoming Benevolent Club.”
