Warren Central Releases 2025–2026 Softball Roster

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School has officially announced its softball roster for the 2025–2026 season. The Lady Vikes’ lineup was released on Wednesday, showcasing a mix of experienced returners and rising young talent.
The team is led by Head Coach Brian Ellis, who recently guided the Lady Vikes to the second round of the MHSAA playoffs earlier this month. Warren Central finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 11-14. With three seniors graduating, the team is looking ahead to build on its postseason momentum and continue developing its younger players.
Returning for the 2026 season are several key contributors, including senior leaders Anzley Keen, Caitlyn Lewis, and Madison Pant. A strong junior class featuring Joli Blackard, Kennedi McKay, Emily Muirhead, Mackenzie Puckett, and Lauren Stamps is expected to bring experience and depth.
The sophomore group includes Mary Clell Allred, Marleigh Clark (manager), Mari-Kynlea Ferguson, Kaylynn Moore, and Addi Mullen. Incoming freshmen Payton Barlow, Addyson Smith, and KK Williamson will also join the varsity ranks.
Adding to the depth of the program is a talented group of eighth and seventh graders. The eighth-grade roster includes Ali Ashley, Laney Bennett, Reagan Dean, Audie Evans, Emmy Smith-Lyon, Malayna Smith, and Katie Warnock. The seventh-grade squad features Marie Bourne, Blakely Ferguson, Olivia Maher, Lexie Layne Powers, and Lilyanna Wooten.
With a promising mix of upperclassmen and young talent, the Lady Vikes are poised for continued growth heading into the new season.
