Barge hits the old river bridge – video

A barge has hit the old river bridge causing several barges to break free.

At about 11:20 a.m. a barge hit the old river bridge on the Mississippi River at Vicksburg.

This is a breaking news story.

From radio traffic about 15 barges have broken free from the tow but are being corralled next to posts 5 and 6 of the Old Highway 80 Bridge. The tow is owned by Marquette Transportation. There are no known injuries associated with the collision.
