‘Reason for the Season’ light show this weekend

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — This weekend, Dec. 20 and 21, the Encore Lights Christmas light show located at 806 Hickory Street, (Oak Park) in Vicksburg, will present a new show called “Reason for the Season”.

Through the magic of computers, lights, sound, music, and props, you and your family will experience the events that surround the birth of Jesus Christ and is the real reason for the Christmas holiday celebration.

Shows will run nightly from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Each presentation takes only 15 minutes and then will repeat.

Presenter John Byrne said he hopes viewers enjoy the show.

“We hope you enjoy the presentation and that it makes your holiday’s just a little bit more meaningful and enjoyable. Always remember what the real reason for the season is,” said Byrne.
