One dead in Riley Road accident in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (VDN) — One person has died on Riley Road as the result of a single vehicle accident.

Just before 9:30 a.m., a call came in of a single vehicle accident on Riley Road. The single occupant of the truck was trapped and the vehicle caught fire as a result of the accident. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames but the driver did not survive.

Riley Road is maintained by the state, so Mississippi Highway Patrol is in charged of the scene. The Vicksburg Daily News will update the information as more is made available.

The victim’s identity has not been made public at this time.
