Triple J’s recognized as one of Mississippi’s best

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Triple J’s Pizza Taco food truck has been recognized as one of Mississippi’s Best in Mississippi Magazine’s Best of the Best competition.

Triple J’s Pizza Taco, a veteran-owned and operated business, opened in the fall of 2023 and quickly attracted a following in the Vicksburg area. “Triple J’s is a taco truck built around bold Southern California flavors, bringing fresh ingredients, big taste, and a unique twist to every menu item”, explained owner Jessica Passman. “Triple J’s PizzaTaco didn’t originally set out to be a taco truck other than our signature PizzaTaco, tacos weren’t the main plan. When our first concept didn’t work out, we had to pivot. Everything changed once we released our steak tacos.”

That changed everything. Soon, Triple J’s started showing up everywhere and were getting requests to attend events. “The response was huge, and the truck quickly took on a life of its own. We simply followed what the people loved, and Triple J’s grew into what it is today.”

The most recent honor of being named as one of the top food trucks in Mississippi is rewarding for Jessica and her husband, James. “Being named a Top 5 food truck in Mississippi by Mississippi Magazine is a huge honor for Triple J’s,” said Passman. However, success doesn’t come without a price. “It’s exciting, but also humbling, because behind the scenes it takes nonstop work, long hours, and constant hustle to keep this truck rolling. We couldn’t have reached this level without our customers. Y’all are the reason we’re here, and we’re truly grateful.”
