Ten Warren Central swimmers selected to compete in the All-Star Meet

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Ten Warren Central High School swimmers have been selected to compete in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Swim Meet. Jacob Byrd, Addison Billings, Avery Greer, Sicily Smith, Cormack Wiedenfeld, Kara Rowe, Ella Opperman, Thomas Kilroy, Ace Orosco and James McKenna were all selected based on their times at the state championship meet where WC won two championships.

All eight athletes are led by Head Coach Terry Wong, who will also coach for the North Team in the All-Star Meet.

The ten athletes all finished with great numbers at the championship meet:

Jacob Byrd

• 1st place – 500 Yard Freestyle (5:31.40)

• 2nd place – 200 Yard Freestyle (1:57.53)

• 1st place – 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:34.07)
