Vicksburg native killed her first buck

HINDS COUNTY, Miss.(VDN) — Sixteen-year-old Scarlett Coutch, a Vicksburg native, killed her first buck Monday while hunting in Hinds County with her father.

The deer was an eight-point buck, marking a milestone for the young hunter.

Coutch is a 10th-grade student at St. Aloysius High School, where she is also a member of the Lady Flashes softball team.
