Port Gibson defeats Franklin County 30-21

Port Gibson High School secured a 30-21 victory over Franklin County in district play, improving their season record to 3-3. Key performances came from quarterback KiMontae Crutison and running back Lenelle Snyder.

Port Gibson High School went on the road Friday night and picked up a 30-21 victory over Franklin County High School in district play. The Blue Waves improved to 3-3 on the season behind strong offensive performances from quarterback KiMontae Crutison and running back Lenelle Snyder.

Crutison completed 7 of 12 passes for 235 yards while adding 55 rushing yards in the win. He connected with Ocie Brown III on an 80-yard touchdown pass and also found Snyder for a 10-yard touchdown.

Crutison also contributed on the ground with a 3-yard touchdown run.

Snyder had a solid performance for the Blue Waves, rushing for 90 yards on 14 carries. He scored on touchdown runs of 15 and 3 yards while also catching a 10-yard touchdown pass from Crutison.

Brown was another key offensive contributor, finishing with two receptions for 120 yards, including his 80-yard touchdown catch.

Defensively, Port Gibson was led by Ajavion McGrew, D’Elljai Smith and Snyder, who helped the Blue Waves secure the nine-point victory.

Port Gibson will look to continue its winning momentum Friday when the Blue Waves host Jefferson County High School.
