Henderson and Hall named Vicksburg High School’s Athletes of the Year
Tyler Henderson and Rodrianna Hall has been named Vicksburg High School’s Male and Female Athlete of the Year. They both won the award at the school’s athletic banquet last week.
Hall:
Hall played basketball and ran track for VHS throughout her varsity years. She led the Missy Gators’ basketball team to the playoffs in 2024 under Head Coach Troy Stewart.
As a senior, Hall finished in second place in both the triple jump and long jump at the state meet. The VHS track team also won four straight district titles with the help of Hall under Head Coach Deatra Cable.
Hall signed to play basketball at Hinds Community College.
Henderson:
Henderson finished his high school career as a star basketball player, football standout and a track state champion.
In his senior year, Henderson led the football to the first round of the playoffs(982 All-Purpose Yards), just a year after helping VHS to their best season in over 20 years. He averaged 14 points per game as a senior on the basketball team under Head Coach Kelvin Carter.
In his 2023 junior year, Henderson captured a state championship in the high jump and came in second place as a senior.
Henderson has signed a football scholarship to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and he also played in the Benard Blackwell All-Star Game.
