Kanye Anderson signs with Wyoming
LEWISVILLE, Tx. (VDN) — Kanye Anderson, a Vicksburg native, has signed to play football at the University of Wyoming. The announcement became public Wednesday through several social media posts.
Anderson, who was born in Vicksburg, now lives in Lewisville, Texas, where he plays for Lewisville High School.
He starred at defensive back for the Farmers, helping the team finish the 2025 season with an 8-3 record and a 5-2 mark in district play.
Anderson earned All-District honors for his performance and became one of the top defensive standouts in his area. He chose Wyoming over several other offers, including Stephen F. Austin, Oregon State, Langston University, Missouri State University, Sacramento State University and multiple additional programs.
Anderson’s talent also earned him a selection to the U.S. Army Bowl, where some of the nation’s top high school football players compete. His commitment adds another strong piece to Wyoming’s recruiting class as he prepares to continue his career at the collegiate level.
