Late Night Shooting near Bowmar and Letitia leaves one injured

VICKSBURG, MS – A late night shooting shooting incident occurred near the intersection of Bowmar Avenue and Letitia Street leaving one person with a non-life threatening injury.

According to the Vicksburg Police Department, the incident occurred at 1:08 a.m. A person of interest has been identified and the police are continuing their investigation into this matter.

No details are available at this time regarding the cause of this incident. The Vicksburg Daily News will update this article when and if more information becomes available.

The late night shooting has been the fourth shooting incident near the Fostoria neighborhood since last Sunday evening. Of note, the second shooting incident, near the intersection of Speed Street and Letitia Street, occurred in broad daylight. One arrest has so far been made relating to those incidents.
