VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)Laurence Sullivan Jr., a Vicksburg native, announced Friday that he will enter the 2026 NFL Draft. The standout defensive back made the announcement on social media and said he will also declare for the CFL and UFL drafts.

“First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior for never giving up on me and for guiding me through the past five years of college football,” Sullivan wrote. “Without Him, none of my accomplishments would be possible.”

Sullivan also expressed gratitude to his family, friends and coaches for their support throughout his collegiate career.

“My journey has been shaped by my time at Coastal Carolina and Nicholls State, where I grew both on and off the field,” Sullivan said. “With confidence in my preparation and a hunger to keep improving, I have decided to declare for the 2026 NFL, CFL and UFL drafts and pursue the next chapter of my athletic career.”

Sullivan spent his final collegiate seasons at Nicholls State University, where he totaled 83 tackles, six interceptions and 13 pass deflections during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He was recently named to the All-Southland Conference second team.

Before his time at Nicholls State, Sullivan played at East Mississippi Community College and Coastal Carolina.

Sullivan is a 2021 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he played under head coaches Todd McDaniel and Tim Hughes.
