Linebackers Moore and Curry Averaging 10 Tackles Per Game

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Two local high school linebackers are putting up big defensive numbers by averaging 10 tackles per game midway through the 2025 season. Warren Central’s Micah Moore and Vicksburg High’s Wallys Curry are each averaging double-digit tackles per game while leading their respective defenses.
Curry, a standout for the Gators under head coach Christopher Lacey, has totaled 63 tackles through six games. His efforts have helped VHS to a 4-2 record, including a 39-35 homecoming win last week.
Across town, Moore is anchoring the defense for Warren Central under head coach Josh Morgan. In five games, Moore has recorded 50 tackles, pacing the Vikings’ defense as they prepare to face Ridgeland on Friday following a bye week.
