One found dead at Commodore Apartments

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — There was a large police response to Commodore Apartments in Vicksburg on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 7 in response to a death. According to reports a 24-year-old male was found deceased on the premises.

Around 8:30 p.m., 911 received a frantic call from two individuals who were highly emotional. The Vicksburg Police Department had a unit nearby that responded immediately to the call. Shortly thereafter Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey was dispatched to the scene. Huskey said there were no obvious signs of foul play but the deceased had been suffering from a severe cold.

Although family, including his grieving mother, was on scene, the Vicksburg Daily News will not be releasing the 24- year-old male’s name.

In prior situations like this, an autopsy had to be performed to determine the cause of death.

This is an ongoing investigation.
